Mission Statement

Kanawha Dreamers Family Support Center exists to provide leadership, educational support,  resources, and quality programs that strive to engage and empower families. Our goal is to ensure those we serve have the necessary life skills, information, and education for the betterment of our community.

About the Center

Welcome to the Kanawha County Family Support Center, where we are dedicated to serving families with children aged from 0 to 18 in the household and expectant mothers. We're committed to ensuring that every family in our community can access the necessary resources and services. To achieve this, we host bi-yearly resource fairs, collaborate with various organizations, and develop initiatives that benefit everyone.

At our center, we take great pride in empowering our clients to make choices that best meet their family's unique needs and preferences. Our approach is centered around client choice, allowing families to select the food items that matter most to them at any time.

Our client-centered philosophy is rooted in respect for the dignity of every individual we serve. We recognize that dietary restrictions, cultural preferences, and family size vary greatly. So, we work tirelessly to make sure that the items we provide align with these diverse needs. Our goal is to offer more than just sustenance; we aim to promote self-sufficiency and enhance the overall well-being of every client who accesses our center's services.

We welcome you to join us at Step by Step’s Kanawha County Family Support Center, where you'll find a warm and inclusive community committed to your family's well-being.

Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.
